Embracing an Anti-Capitalistic Approach to Marketing: Making a Difference through Business

Yes, it's possible.

Emily Lauren Dick

I am anti-capitalistism.

You're probably thinking what the heck does that even mean, Emily? You are a creative marketer! You literally help women market their businesses. You help them sell stuff! I know, I know. I do. And I LOVE it. But I also do it from an anti-capitalistic perspective!

Let me explain...Commerce is the act of exchanging goods and services, while capitalism is an economic system centered around private ownership, profit, and competition. I support commerce, but I don't like capitalism.

My approach to marketing is anti-capitalistic because I embrace 5 things in my approach to marketing...

1. Authencitiy:

I focus on values-driven branding that is authentic and focuses on societal improvement rather than just profit.

2. Genuine Value

I work with businesses that genuinely provide value to consumers and make a positive difference in the world.

3. Honest

I embrace honesty in promotional content, such as avoiding making false claims or exaggerating and overhyping benefits.

4. Inclusive

I believe that marketing should be inclusive and that all body types and identities should be represented to avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes or promoting exclusion.

5. Joyful

I think that beautiful branding and creative content has the power to evoke happiness in others by activating our senses and emotions, creating an uplifting experience. The world can never have enough joy!

Do you feel the same way? If so, I would love to work with you! I offer done-for-you creative marketing solutions and business strategy advice for women-led businesses that WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this world.

Remember, I offer a free 15-minute discovery call so we can talk about your needs. There is NO PRESSURE to book with me at the end of it because I honestly just enjoy being of service to others, and it keeps my brain sharp! I know that not everyone has the means to hire me right away, and that's okay.
